The body needs 20 different amino acids to make protein for the tip-top growth. Amino acids help your body be healthier by building up your muscles, hair and nails, your blood supply, skin and other internal organs.
The human body can create 12 of the necessary amino acids, the remainder need to come from the foods you eat. These are known as the essential amino acids; the 12 made by the body are called non-essential amino acids.
